HELD AT PINELAND PLAZA, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
MONDAY, MARCH 7, 1988 AT 8:15 P. M.
PRESENT
Nick Cassandra, Mayor
Ralph Marchese, Vice Mayor
Ezell Hester, Commissioner
Leonard Mann, Commissioner

Peter L. Cheney, City Manager
Mayor Cassandra called the meeting to order at 8:15 P. M.
ity Manager Cheney called attention to the report before
~he Commission entitled "Proposed Charge for Emergency Use
~f Water by Delray Beach", which he explained. A copy of
~aid report is attached to the original copy of these
minutes in the Office of the City Clerk. City Manager
~heney informed Mayor Cassandra that the City was suggesting
a charge of 62½¢ per 1,000 gallons.
Mayor Cassandra commented that the City of Delray Beach did
ot know about this, but he thought the City of Boynton
each was being fair in its evaluation.
hayor Cassandra stated that no motion was necessary. It was
e consensus of the Commission that the charge was
cceptable. City Manager Cheney said he would call the City
of Delray Beach tomorrow.

II. Boynton Beach estimated cost per 1,000 gallons of treated water
through treatment 48¢ - 55¢
III.
Boynton Beach total cost for all of water supply including wells,
pumping, treatment as well as Debt Service, Depreciation,
Administration, Meters, Distribution and Billing $1.25/1,000 gallons
IV.
Suggest charge to Delray Beach 62.5¢/1,000 gallons or ½ of tota! cost
or 14.5¢ - 7.5¢ above treated water cost. The 14.5¢ - 7.5¢ is to
cover cost of Debt Service, Depreciation and Administration.
