i WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission has determined that

11 it is in the best interests of the residents of the City to award to and execute a Contract with
12 Arbor Tree & Land, Inc., in the amount of $148,000.00 to perform debris cleanup on golf
13 course caused by Hurricane Frances.

15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
16 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: :

18 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
19 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
20 hereof.

22 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
23 hereby award and authorize execution of the Contract with Arbor Tree & Land, Inc., in the
24 amount of $148,000.00 to perform debris cleanup on the golf course caused by Hurricane
25 rances, which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

RE: THE LmKS OF BOYNTON BEACH
STORM DEBRIS CLEARmG
The following scope of work will detail all work that will be performed for the City of
Boynton Beach during the performance of this contract. In accordance with previous
discussions Phillips and Jordan, Inc. is prepared to mobilize crews and equipment to
begin work immediately. This contract will be based upon a lump sum calculation after a
thorough site inspection has been performed by Paul Meckes, Mario Vir and myself, all
from Phillips and Jordan, Inc. Scope of work is as follows:
· Remove all dangerous hanging limbs from trees located within the confines of the
27 hole golf course as directed by City.
· Remove all storm damaged trees as directed City.
· All stumps resulting from tree removal will be ground in place and resulting
residue will be the responsibility of the City to remove and backfill.
· City will establish fairway crossings, at least one per hole so that debris can be
transported.
· All debris generated will be taken to parking lot and/or access road, transportation
to final disposal location will be accomplished by street crews currently working
for City.
· Phillips and Jordan, Inc. takes no responsibility in the repair of damaged golf
facilities(grass, sod, irrigation pipes, etc.); all work will be directed by City.
Equipment to be utilized during the course of work is as follows:
· Four wheeler w/trailer

· Rubber Track Excavator
· Skid Steer Loader w/grapple
· Stump Grinder
· Knuckleboom Self Loading Truck
· 4x4 Man Lift
