AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, CHAPTER 2.
ADMINISTRATION ARTICLE 11, CITY MANAGER;
BY REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY SECTION
2-28, REMOVAL OR SUSPENSION; AMENDING
SECTION 2-29. ATTENDANCE AT COUNCIL
MEETINGS TO CLARIFY THOSE RIGHTS GRANTED
TO THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING A
CONFLICTS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND FOR. OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Chapter 2, Administration Article
II. City Manager. Section 2-28. Removal or suspension, is
hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. That Chapter 2. Administration Article
II. City Manager. Section 2-29. Attendance at council
meetings, is hereby amended by adding the words and figures
in underlined type and by deleting the words and figures in
struck-through type, as follows:
Sec. 2-29. Attendance at council meetings.
The City Manager shall be-e~e~e~-~e-a

right to take part in the discussions on
all matters coming before the
C~,~ssion relative to administrative

have no vote therein.
Section 3. That each and every other provision of
Chapter 2. not amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect as previously enacted.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 5. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
