AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID
CITY, SPECIFICALLY CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE
II, SECTION 13-37. INSURANCE
PREREQUISITE TO LICENSE OR REGISTRATION,
TO REQUIRE PROOF OF WORKERS COMPENSATION
INSURANCE; PROVIDING THAT EVERY OTHER
PROVISION OF CHAPTER 13 NOT SPECIFICALLY
AMENDED HEREIN SHALL REMAIN IN FULL
FORCE AND EFFECT AS PREVIOUSLY ENACTED;
PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE; PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEReFOr, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Chapter 13, Article II, Section
13-37, Insurance Prerequisite to License or Registration. is
hereby amended by adding the words and figures in underlined
type and by deleting the words and figures in struck-through
type, as follows:
Sec. 13-37 Insurance prerequisite to license or
registration
No person shall be licensed or registered pursuant to
this article unless he furnishes ~-~e~r~c-i-f-it~et~,-_ma~e_~__t~

(a) a certificate, made out to the. city,~ demonstrating
that he has public liability insurance in the form and amounts
required as a prerequisite to certification by the county; and
(b) proof that he has secured workers compensation for
his employees pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 440~
Florida Statutes.
Section 2. Each and every other provision of Chapter
13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach',
Florida, not specifically amended herein shall remain in full
force and effect as previously enacted.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or word
be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision s~all not affect the remainder of this
ordinance.
