ORDINANCE NO. 89- ~---
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REPEALING ARTICLE XII DEMOLITION OF
DILAPIDATED, UNFIT, UNSANITARY AND
UNSAFE BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES. OF
CHAPTER 5, BUILDINGS, HOUSING AND
CONSTRUCTION REGULATIONS, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH;
PROVIDING FOR A CONFLICTS CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach has officially adopted the Standard Building Code,
1985 Edition together with the Uniform, Minimum Palm Beach
Countywide Amendments thereto, by enacting Ordinance 86-55;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach wishes to utilize the demolition provision contained
in said Standard Building Code exclusively,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Article XII Demolition of
Dilapidated, Unfit, Unsanitary and Unsafe Buildings and
Structures of Chapter 5, Buildings, Housing and Construction
RegulatiOns of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton
Beach is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
