A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
AND ESTABLISHING A CLERK II POSITION, GRADE
18 TO BE SHARED BY THE RISK MANAGEMENT
DIVISION AND COMMUNICATIONS; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Risk Management Division and Communications share a
common workspace; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that clerical staff is needed to properly
support the two divisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff, hereby
approves and establishes a Clerk II position, Grade 18, to be shared by the Risk
Management Division and Communications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby approve and establish a Clerk II position, grade 18, to be shared
between the Risk Management Division and Communications, which description is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.

Nature of Work:
This is responsible clerical work involving performance of more
complex operations, i.e., types reports, business correspondences,
forms, etc. All decisions are made, however, in accordance with
established precedents, departmental policies and procedures. The
variety and d~fficulty of work differs among departments, but when work
is repetitive, there is added responsibility for finality of action.
Th9 ~ore difficult and important work i~ performed ~nder close
supervision. Advice is given to the employee on unusually difficult or
important matters. Employees with this classification can be initially
assigned to work in
any department of the City. Work is assigned by
th~i~ supervisor or their designee and follows department policy and
procedures.
