A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE BYLAWS OF ADA SERVICES
AND PARTNERSHIPS, INC., A FLORIDA NOT-FOR-
PROFIT CORPORATION; AUTHORIZING MELODY
GREEN, RECREATION SUPERINTENDENT TO
REPRESENT THE CITY AS AN OFFICER OF THE
CORPORATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the ADA Services and Partnerships, Inc. is a Florida not-for-
profit corporation created to consolidate and share resources among local county
and municipal recreations departments to ensure that programs and services are
provided effectively to persons with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, the program will result in the compilation of readily available
resources regarding,the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and reasonable
accommodations required; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach has
determined, based upon staff recommendation, that the program should be
supported by the City of Boynton Beach, as it is in the best interests of the public
to do so and will result in the cost effective utilization of resources for programs
and services; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds the bylaws of the not-for-profit
corporation are acceptable and authorizes the below-named employee of the
City to serve on the corporation's board of directors with the powers to act and
vote on behalf of the City of Boynton Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The "WHEREAS" clauses above are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
hereby finds the bylaws of ADA Services and Partnerships, Inc., a Florida not-
for-profit corporation, acceptable and hereby approves the same.
Section 3. The City Commission does hereby authorize City of Boynton
Beach Recreation Superintendent, MelodY Green to serve as the secretary of
the not-for-profit corporation, with the authority to act and vote as the City's
