R05-120 II I 1 RESOLUTION R05- '.aO 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 4 FLORIDA, ADOPTING A PROPOSED MUNICIPAL 5 MILLAGE RATE OF Î.'5 FOR GENERAL 6 OPERATING BUDGET PURPOSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 7 2005-06, STATING A ROLLED-BACK RATE OF 8 b.55a , AND SETTING FORTH THE DATE, TIME 9 AND PLACE ,OF THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING; 10 PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND 11 AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 12 13 WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(2)(b) it is the responsibility of the 14 Municipality's governing body to advise the Property Appraiser of its roll back millage rate, 15 proposed millage rate and the date, time and place of the first public hearing; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 17 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 18 Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 19 adopts a proposed millage rate of -=:I. S which has been computed to fund the General 20 Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2005-06. The rolled-back rate is ,=>. S5 a. 21 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 22 sets September 6, 2005 at 6:30 P.M., at Boynton Beach City Hall, 100 East Boynton Beach 23 Boulevard, as the date, time and place of the first public hearing to consider the proposed 24 millage rate and the tentative budget. 25 Section 3. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby 26 authorized to execute and submit DR-420 Certification of Taxable Value to the Palm Beach 27 County Property Appraiser's Office. 28 Section 4. If any clause, section, or other part of this Resolution shall be held by 29 any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or 30 invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and in no way affecting the validity of the other 31 provisions of this Resolution. 32 Section 5. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby 33 repealed to the extent of such conflict. 34 Section 6.
