4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
5 BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION
6 OF THE "NOTICE OF INTENT" APPROVED BY
7 RESOLUTION NO. 05-060; AND PROVIDING AN
8 i EFFECTIVE DATE.

10 WHEREAS, the City Commission approved a Notice of Intent (NOl #2005-1) by
11 Resolution R05-060 on April 19, 2005; and
12 WHEREAS, On October 19, 2005, the City Commission also approved an extension of
13 the Notice ofIntent for three months which will expire on January 16, 2006; and
14 WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent was to be in effect from the date of adoption and
15 thereafter for a maximum period of six (6) months, unless otherwise extended by the City
16 Commission by subsequent Resolution following public hearing; and
17 WHEREAS, staff has recommended an extension to April 19, 2006 to allow additional
18 time for further analysis of consultant recommendations, for the drafting of regulations or
19 comprehensive plan amendments, and for the necessary processing of code changes before the
20 appropriate advisory boards and Commission.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
22 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

Section 1.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
24 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
25 hereof.

Section 2.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby
27 extend the Notice of Intent #2005-1, originally approved by Resolution No. R05-060 for a

second extension. The study period will end April 19, 2006. The City Commission establishes
2 the following deadlines for completion of the study process, preparation of amendments to the
3 zoning code, board review, and Commission consideration:

That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
