A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
THE NEW JOB DESCRIPTIONS WHICH ARE
ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF,
ALL OF WHICH POSITIONS ARE CURRENTLY
FUNDED IN THE 1997/98 BUDGET; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff, hereby
approves the new job descriptions, as outlined on the attached Composite Exhibit
"A", all of which positions are currently funded in the 1997/98 budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby approve the new job descriptions, all of which positions are currently
funded in the 1997/98 budget, and which descriptions are attached hereto as
Composite Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.

The Support Services Team will consist of Finance- {Purchasing and Warehouse}, Human
Resources, Information .Technology Services, Communications, City Clerk, and 'Risk
Management. These are primarily internal service operations but also provide important external
services to the city. The Support Services Administrator will be the team leader to coordinate the
operations of the team and insure the goals of the team and individual division operations are
achieved.
The new philosophy of the Support Services Team is to provide acamrate information, guidance,
and training in the areas of expertise through consultation with internal customers frequently and
expeditiously. And to ~ this philosophy to our extmml customers with excellent
customer service as the foundation of our service delivery.
The key ingredients of a mccessful team are ~good communication and cooperation among team
members. The team will achieve success by meetin$ weekly in a creative environment, will
coordinate activities as a team, and will monitor the progress of the team and individual divisions
to insure the goals and objectives are achieved within established time frames.

As Support Services Administrator the primary responsibility will be to develop & two (2) year
implementation phn for the Community Red~opm~ Agency (CRA), to act as the staff
liaison to the CRA, to over~e the operations of the Community Redevelopment Division staff

SUPPORT SERVICES TEAM

The Support Services Team will consist of Finance- {Purchasing and Warehouse}, Human
Resources, Information Technology Services, Communications, City Clerk, and Risk
Management. These are primarily internal service operations but also provide important external
services to the city. The Support Services Administrator will be the team leader to coordinate the
operations of the team and insure' the goals of the team and individual division operations are
achieved.
The new philosophy of the Support Services Team is to provide accurate information, guidance,
and training in the areas of expertise through consultation with internal customers frequently and
expeditiously. And to transcend this philosophy to our external customers with excellent
customer service as the foundation of our service delivery.
The key ingredients of a successful team are good communication and cooperation among team
members. The team will achieve success by meeting weekly in a 'creative environment, will
coordinate activities as a team, and will monitor the pro~ss of the team and individual divisions
