R98-,,~,¢ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY cOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS TO HANDLE AND CANVAS ALL CITY ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR THE MARCH 10, 1998, GENERAL ELECTION, REPRESENT THE MUNICIPAL CANVASSING BOARD AT ALL LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTS, AND CERTIFY ELECTION RESULTS; AUTHORIZING THE Gl'FY CLERK TO NOTIFY THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF HER APPOINTMENT; AND PRQVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has designated Tuesday, March 10, 1998 as the date for the next General Election; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach desires to appoint the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections to handle and canvas all city absentee ballots, certify election results, and represent the municipal canvassing board at all logic and accuracy tests' to be held prior to the March 10, 1998, General Election. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED' BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BoYNToN BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby appoints the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections to handle and canvas all city absentee ballots for the March 10, i 998, General Election, represent the municipal canvassing board at all logic and accuracy tests, and certify election results. Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Clerk to notify the ~lm Beach County Supervisor of Elections of her appointment to handle and canvas all city absentee ballots and represent the municipal canvassing board at all logic and accuracy tests to be held prior to the election.
