AN ORDINANCE OF THE CiTY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE VII,
CHILDREN AND YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD,
SECTION 2-121. QUALIFICATIONS; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION
AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there are currently three student positions on the Children and
Youth Advisory Board, two of which are voting members and one non-voting
member; and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed by the City Commission to be in the best
interests of the citizens and residents of the City to amend the Code of Ordinances
to allow one non-voting member of the student group to be a non-resident
of the City of B0ynton Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Chapter 2. Administration, Article VII. Children and Youth
Advisory Board Section 2-121. Qualification. shall be amended by adding the
words and figures in underlined type, as follows:
Sec. 2-121. Qualification.
Members of the advisory board on children and youth
shall be residents of the City, with the exception of
one ..... ~., non-votin.q member of the student
membership, who may reside outside the City
limits.
Section 2. All other Sections of Chapter 2 Administration, Article VII. not
herein specifically amended shall remain in full force and effect as previously
enacted.
Section 3.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this ordinance or any portion
thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
Section 5. Authority is hereby given to codify this Ordinance.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
