AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2. ZONING, SECTION 8 OF
THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, BY
CREATING A NEW SUBSECTION (D), ALLOWING
FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMUNITY
CENTERS IN THE M-1 ZONING DISTRICT;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY,
CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that non-
profit organization community centers should be allowed in the
M-1 zoning district, provided that no more than 40% of the
floor space is used for office space; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1o That Chapter 2, Section 8. of the Land
Development Regulations is hereby amended by creating a new
subsection (8) as follows:
(8) Non-profit or=anization community
centers, provided that no more than 40%
of the floor space is used for office
Section 2. Each and every other provision of Chapter
2 of the Land Development Regulations not herein specifically
amended shall remain in full force and effect as previously
enacted.
Section $, All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence or word
be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of this
ordinance.
