O94-25 ORDINANCE NO. O94-,=,,~,-~' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION, SECTION 2-13.5(C) PROVIDING FOR SUCCESSOR TERMS OF BOARD APPOINTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach to reflect successor terms for Board appointments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Chapter 2. Administration Section 2-13.5(C) is hereby amended by adding the words and figures in underlined type, as follows: Sec 2-13.5. Community redevelopment advisory board for the central business district; created, appointment, terms, duties (c) The community redevelopment advisory board... Two members appointed to three-year terms, two members appointed to two-year terms and two members appointed to one-year terms, and may upon majority vote of the commission, be reappointed for consecutive terms. Their successors shall be appointed for a term of one (1) .year. All other provisions of Chapter 2 not specifically amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. Should any section or provision of this Ordinance of any portion thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of this Ordinance. Section 4. Authority is hereby given to codify this Ordinance. Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage. FIRST READING this J day of August, 1994.
