AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING
SECTION 6. SUPPLEMENTAL REGULATIONS,
SUBSECTION B.1 OF APPENDIX A - ZONING OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH BY CREATING A NEW SUBSECTION, B.l.rr,
ALLOWING FOR A SINGLE FAMILY USE INCIDENTAL
TO A PERMITTED COMMERCIAL USE, ON THE SAME
LOT AS THE COMMERCIAL USE; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida finds that
the mix of commercial and residential uses in limited zoning districts would encourage
development and redevelopment of numerous districts within the City; and
WHEREAS,. the City Commission finds that the concept of combining residential
and.commercial uses is an old practice that is once again becoming popular in urban
areas because of the benefits that conserve various resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Section 6. Supplemental Regulations, Subsection B.1. of Appendix
A - Zoning, is hereby amended by creating a new subsection B.l.rr. by adding the
words and figures in underlined type as follows:
rr. A sinale family residence, incidental to a permitted, commercial
use. located on the same lot as the commercial use. Such residence
shall have a minimum livina area of 750 sqqalre feet arid shall be
limited to occupancy bv the property owner or business

Section 2. All other provisions of Section 6 of Appendix A - Zoning not
specifically amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. All laws and ordinances applying to the City of Boynton Beach, in
conflict with any provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4, Should any section or provision of this Ordinance of any portion
thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 5. Authority is hereby given to codify this Ordinance.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
