AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 79-23 IN ITS
ENTIRETY; REPEALING SECTION 18-184.
ENTITLED "ADDITIONAL CREDITABLE SERVICE
FOR YEARS SPENT ON THE VOLUNTEER FORCE."
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH IN ITS ENTIRETY; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION
AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, has deemed it appropriate to repeal Ordinance
No. 79-23 and Section 18-184. entitled "Additional creditable
service for years spent on the volunteer force" in its entirety,
as it no longer applies to the City of Boynton Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 79-23, which was
duly adopted by the City Commission on August 7, 1979, is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
Section 2: That Section 18-184, entitled
"Additional creditable service for years spent on the volunteer
force" is hereby deleted in its entirety.
Section 3: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
