AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
APPENDIX A - ZONING, SECTION 6. COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT REGULATIONS AND USE PROVISIONS OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO PROVIDE FOR AMENDMENT
OF SECTION 6E TO ALLOW DRY CLEANING ON
PREMISES AS A PERMITTED USE WITHIN THE CENTRAL
BUSINESS DISTRICT (CBD); PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, upon recommendation of staff, has determined that it is in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to
amend the zoning code to allow dry cleaning on premises, limited to
handling goods that are brought to the premises by retail customers
as a permitted use within the Central Business District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department has determined
that the requested amendment is consistent with the Comprehensive
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Appendix A - Zoning, Sec. 6E.l.zz. of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida is hereby
amended by adding the words and figures in underlined type and by
deleting the words and figures in struck-through type, as follows:
Sec. 6.E.l.zz. Coin operated laundromats, dry
cleaning ~_~p service, limited to handling
goods that are brought to the premises bt
retail customers, tailors and dressmakers,
alteration and repair of clothing or clothing
accessories.
Section 2. Appendix A - Zoning, Sec. 6E.1A. of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida is hereby amended
by adding the words and figures in underlined type and by deleting
the words and figures in struck-through type, as follows:

Within the CBD, Central Business District, no
building or structure, on land or water, o,

or used, in whole or in part, for any of thc

environmental review permit is secured in
accordance with the standards and procedure~;

Section 2. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence or word be
declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such
decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
