5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
6 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
7 EMERGENCY REPAIR PROPOSALS OF
8 MADSEN/BARR OF LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA IN
9 THE AMOUNT OF $58,900.00 AND TO INSITUFORM
10 TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF
11 $11,525.00 FOR A TOTAL REPAIR COST OF
12 $70,425.00 FOR REPAIR TO THE SEWER MAIN AT
13 THE INTERSECTION OF MARTIN LUTHER KING
14 BOULEVARD AND RAILROAD AVENUE; AND
15 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

17 WHEREAS, on August 7, 2006 the Wastewater Division responded to a possible
18 sewer main break at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Railroad
19 Avenue by the FEC Railroad crossing where it was determined that this sewer main repair
20 should be treated as an emergency; and
21 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission of the City of
22 Boynton Beach deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens
23 of the City of Boynton Beach to approve the emergency repair proposal from MadsenlBarr
24 of Lake Worth, Florida and the proposal from Insituform Technologies of Jacksonville,
25 Florida through the bid #WCS-123-00 of Jacksonville Electric Authority.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
27 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

Section 1.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
29 eing true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
30 ereof.

The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,

hereby approves the proposals from MadsenlBarr of Lake Worth, Florida in the amount of
2 $58,900.00 and from Insituform Technologies of Jacksonville, Florida in the amount of

4 King Boulevard and Railroad Avenue.

Section 3.
That the City Manager is hereby directed to execute said proposals,
6 copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibit "I" and "2".

Section 4.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
