AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 79-24 OF SAID
CITY BY AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT 'OF
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY BY
ADOPTING THE PROPER LAND USE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY WHICH IS BEING ANNEXED INTO THE
CITY BY ORDINANCE SIMULTANEOUSLY
HEREWITH, WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER; SAID LAND
DESIGNATION IS BEING CHANGED FROM ~PALM
BEACH COUNTY MEDIUM - MEDIUM HIGH
RESIDENTIAL TO CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH LOW
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; REPEALING PROVISIONS; AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
W~RREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, has adopted a Comprehensive Land Use Plan
and as part of said Plan a Land Use Element by Ordinance No.
79-24, in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive
Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, a certain parcel of land more particularly
described hereinafter is being annexed in accordance with an
application by Michael D. Gordon, Esquire, and Enrico Rossi,
P.E., agents for Knollwood Orange Groves, Inc., owners, into
the City by Ordinance being adopted simultaneously herewith;
and
W~RREAS, the procedure for amendment of Land Use
Element of a Comprehensive Land Use Comprehensive Plan as
set forth in Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, has been
followed; and
W~RREAS, after public hearing and study, the City
Commission deems it in the best interests of the inhabitants
of said City to Amend the aforesaid Land Use Element of the
Comprehensive Plan as adopted by the City herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 79-24 of the City is
hereby amended to reflect the following: That the Land Use
of the following described land which is being annexed into

the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, by Ordinance adopted
simultaneously herewith shall be designated Low Density
Residential. Said land is more particularly described as
follows:
A parcel of land being the west
-three-quarters (W.3/4) of the north
one-half (N.1/2) of the northwest
one-quarter (N.W.1/4) of Section 18,
Township 45 south, Range 43 east, Palm
Beach County, Florida; less, however,
the right-of-way for L.W.D.D. Canal L20,
being the north 50.00 feet of said
section, and less the right-of-way for
Lawrence Road, (an 80.00 feet
right-of-way);
Excepting therefrom, the west 140 feet
of the south 140 feet of the north 248
feet of said parcel.
Subject to
restrictions
record.

and rights-of-way of
Containing: 53.60 acres.
Together with that portion of the Lake
Worth Drainage District Canal L-20
right-of-way abutting the north property
line of the above described subject
property and that portion of Lawrence
Road right-of-way abutting the west
property line of the subject property
and together with the west 140 feet of
the south 140 feet of the north 248 feet
of said parcel.
Section 2:
That any maps adopted in accordance with
the Land Use Element of said Compreh~ensive Plan shall be
amended accordingly.
Section 3:
Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4:
Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall
not affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 5:
This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
