R06-1' q A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR WATER SERVICE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS AND COVENANT FOR ANNEXATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND PALM BEACH COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the subject property is located outside of the City limits, but within our 14 water and sewer service area, located east of Lawrence Road, north of Old Boynton Road and 15 south of Lake Worth Drainage District Lateral canal no. 23; and 16 WHEREAS, the parcel covered by this agreement is planned to contain 34 new 17 single-family homes located in the Quentin Avenue project area; and 18 WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Housing Authority will be required to extend 19 water and sewer facilities from the adjacent, serviced properties to the north and west to the 20 proposed housing units; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 24 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 25 hereof. 26 Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager 27 to execute a Water Service Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and the 28 Palm Beach County Housing Authority, a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto as 29 Exhibit "A". 30 Section 3.
