A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
STRONGLY OPPOSING APPLICATION NO. 98-SCA
95 IND 1 (B/E AEROSPACE PROPERTY) TO
AMEND PALM BEACH COUNTY'S FUTURE LAND
USE ATLAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
FORWARD A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO
EACH MEMBER OF THE PALM BEACH COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, PALM
BEACH COUNTY PLANNING DIVISION AND TO
THE PALM BEACH COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR.
WHEREAS, Palm Beach County is proposing to Change the
County's Future Land Use Atlas, by Application No. 98-SCA 95 IND 1
(B/E Aerospace Property) by changing the land use designation from
Medium Residential.5 (MR-5) to Industrial (IND) for a .75 acre parcel;
WHEREAS, the Ci(y Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida is deeply concerned about the impact that this change may have
on increased traffic flow, and a possible increase in industrial' waste
and/or pollution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that:
Section 1. The City Commission of the. City of Boynton Beach,
Florida does hereby strongly oppose a proposed change to the County's
Future Land Use Atlas, by application No. 98-SCA 95 IND 1 (B/E
Aerospace Property) from Medium Residential 5 (MR-5) to Industrial
(IND), for a .75 acre parcel.
Section 2. A copy of this Resolution shall be provided to all
members of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners,
Palm Beach County Planning Division and to the Palm Beach County
Administrator.
