FLORIDA, REVISING THE PROCEDU
GOVERNING EXPENDITURES OF COMMU
INVESTMENT FUNDS; RESCINDING CONFLI ING
ROVISIONS OF PREVIOUS RESOLUTIO SAND
P ICIES GOVERNING THE PROCE RE FOR
EXP DITURES OF COMMUNITY VESTMENT
FUND , AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC VE DATE.

WHEREAS, the Ci Commission of the Ci of Boynton Beach desires to revise the
procedures governing expendi res of the Co munity Investment Funds which support
projects and activities in the City

this Resolutio will rescind all conflicting provisions of
19 previous Resolutions and p icies governing the pr edure for expenditures of Community
20 Investment Funds.
21 FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY HE CITY COMMISSION OF
22 YNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

26 rev' e the procedures for expending Community Investment Funds as follows:
1. When an individual member of the Commission identifies a need for the us . of
Community Investment Funds, the member of the Commission shall contact the City
Manager's Office with specifics of the request at least one day before the Pre-Agenda
Meeting. The summary of the request will be prepared in the form of an agenda coversheet
by the City Manager's Office listing the amount of the request, the organization and the
intended purpose of the Community Investment Funds. The City Manager's Office will also
include the available balance of Community Investment Funds for the member of the

Commission. The member's request will be placed on the Consent Agenda for approval as
part of the Pre-Agenda Meeting. Unless removed from the Consent Agenda of the following
City Commission meeting, the expenditure will be approved ith the implied funding that
the use serves a public purpose.
2. Any member of the Commission may pull the Con nt item for the purpose of further
discussing the public purpose and/or appropriatenes of the expenditure. Following
~scussion the review shall conclude with either a mot' n to approve or a motion to deny. A
m~on to approve contains the implied finding that t use serves a public purpose.
