3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COMMISSION OF
4 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA
5 APPROVING AN INVENTORY LIST OF MUNICIPALLY
6 OWNED PROPERTY THAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR USE
7 AS AFFORDABLE HOUSING PURSUANT TO SECTION
8 166.0451, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR AN
9 EFFECTIVE DATE

11 WHEREAS, Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes requires that municipalities in the State
12 of Florida prepare an inventory list of all real property within its jurisdiction to which the City
13 holds fee simple title that is appropriate for use as affordable housing; and
14 WHEREAS, the inventory list must include the address and legal description of the
15 property and specify whether the property is vacant or improved. The City Commission must
16 then review the inventory list at a public hearing, and revise the inventory if necessary. Following
17 the public hearing, the City Commission must adopt a resolution that includes the inventory list of
18 the property; and
19 WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed the inventory of City owned property, and has
20 determined that the City does not own any property that is appropriate for use as affordable
2 1 housing; and
22 WHEREAS, pursuant to City staffs review ofthe inventory of City owned property, the
23 City Commission accepts City staffs review, and hereby finds that the adoption ofthis Resolution
24 is in conformance with the requirements of Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes; and
25 WHEREAS, the City Commission ofthe City of Boynton Beach finds and declares that
26 adoption ofthis Resolution is necessary, appropriate, and in the public interest of the citizens of
27 the City of Boynton Beach;

1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
2 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:

Section 1.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
4 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
5 hereof.

Section 2.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, pursuant
7 to Section 166.0451, Florida Statutes, hereby adopts the inventory list of City owned property
8 that is appropriate for use as affordable housing, which is attached hereto and incorporated
9 herein by reference as Exhibit "A".
10 Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
