A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT BETVVEEN
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH (CITY) AND L,B,
LIMITED & ASSOCIATES, INC,, TO PROVIDE A FIVE
YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE BLACK AWARENESS
EVENTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, Black Awareness Day is an annual event celebrating Black
History Month and black heritage and history; and
WHEREAS, at the .luly 6, 2000, City Commission a bid was awarded (No.
070-2710-00/C]D) to L.B. Limited & Associates, Inc,. to provide a Five Year
Strategic Plan for the Black Awareness Events; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIT~ COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a
Consultant Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and L.B. Limited &
Associates, Inc., to provide a Five Year Strategic Plan for the Black Awareness
Events, to be completed by December 14, 2000. A copy of the Agreement is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This Resolution will become effective immediately upon
passage.
