AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 13-22
"LICRNSE TAX SCHEDULE" OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, TO PROVIDE THAT
THAT SECTION SHALL RELATE TO
PROMOTIONAL RETAIL ACTIVITIES
LOCATED WITHIN REGIONAL MALLS IN
THE MALL/CONCOURSE AREA; PROVIDING
THAT EACH AND EVERY OTHER
PROVISION IN CHAPTER 13 SHALL
~N IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS
PREVIOUSLY ENACTED;' PROVIDING
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; PROVIDING A
CONFLICTS CLAUSE; SEVERABILITY
Ck~USE :AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, 'THAT:
Section 1. Chapter 13-22 "License Tax Schedule" is amended to
add Section 601 "M~rchant/Temporary/Regional Mall Concourse Area".
For four (4) or less temporary (less than a week), and por-
table, Regional Mall promotion activities with sales and located
within any or all of the Mall concourse areas, Mall Owners shall pay a
license fee of $100.
Section 2. Section 13-22 "License Tax Schedule is amended to
add Section 603 ~'Merch~ant/Temporary/Retail". Activities in 602(a)
Retail License above that are temporary and portable and located in
Regional Mall concourse areas for a period longer than one week, but
less than three months, shall each be charged a license fee as
prescribed in 602(a) above with a $30 minimum and prorated for the
number of months in operation. One license per applicant is allowed
for each twelve (12) month period.
Section 3. Specific authority is hereby given to codify this
ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That should any section or provision of this
Ordinance oranyportion thereof be declaredbya court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 6.
