AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 82-13 BY INCREASING THE
NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FROM
FIVE (5) ~O SEVEN (7); BY APPOINTING TWO (2)
ADDITIONAL MEMBERS TO THE CO~IUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY TO PILL THESE NEW POSITIONS; PROVIDING
FOR THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR THE NEW APPOINTEES;
PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 82-KK, the City Council of
the City of Boynton-~each, Florida, created a Community Redevelopm
Agency for said City; and
WHEREAS, by Chapter 77-~391[Sec. 163-356(2), Florida
Statutes], the Florida Legislature provided that a community
redevelopment agency shall consist of five (5) commissioners~ and
WHEREAS, by Chapter 83-231, the Florida Leaislature
amended Section 163.356(2), Florida Statutes, by providing that
the Board of Commissioners of a community redevelopment agency
shall consist of not fewer than five (5) or more than seven (7)
commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, desires to increase the number of commissioners appointed
to the Community Redevelopment Agency from five (5) to seven (7)
commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Section 163.356, Florida Statutes, provides
that commissioners to a community redevelopment agency shall be
appointed by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, hereby desires to appoint the hereinafter named
individuals to serve on the Community Redevelopment Agency for a
period of two (2) a~7~ ~bree (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1- Ordinance No. 82-13, adopted by the City
Council on the 18th day of May, 1982, be and hereby is amended
to increase the number of members on the Board of Commissioners
of the Community Redevelopment Agency from five (5) to seven (7)
members.
Section 2: The following members are hereby appointed
to the newly created positions on the Board of Commissioners of
the Community Redevelopment Agency to serve for the term as
indicated:

Section 3: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
