COMPOSITION; TERMS; Q~ORUM. TO PROVIDE

STAGGERED TERMS RANGING FROM ONE TO THREE

CONFLICTS CLAUSE, SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
AU~{ORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY (IYJNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYN~I~N BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Chapter 6 -C~meteries, Section 6-4. Board of
Governors created; composition; terms; quorum, of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Boynton Beach, Florida,- is hereby amended to read
as follows:
There is hereby created and established a Boa=d of
Governors of the Municipal C~metery which will con-
sist of the City Clerk, and Tereesa Padqett who
is hereby appointed to serve on said Board for life.
In addition the Board shall consist of four (4)
other persons and one (1) alternate, all five of
whom shall be residents and electors of the City.
Two~s, of these four, shall serve for a term
of one (1) year from the date of appointment; one
member shall serve for a term of two (2) years
from the date of appointment; one member shall
serve for a term of three (3) years from the date
of appointment. The alternate shall be a_ppointed
for a one (1) year term. Vacancies not including
the alternate created after expiration of these
terms shall be filled byappointments of three (3)
years.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof be declared by a court of cc~0etent jurisdiction
to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of this
Section 4. Authority is hereby given to codify this
Ordinance.
Section 5. ~nis OrdiD~nce shall beccme effective immediately
upon its passage.
