A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A PROCESSING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND BARNETT
BANK FOR CREDIT CARD SERVICES; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach Municipal Golf Course is
upgrading the software utilized at the golf course for pro shop inventory and
-of-sale, for purposes of efficiency and greater compatibility with software
utilized throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Barnett Bank has agreed to provide a competitive discount
rate structure for the processing of credit card purchases at the Boynton Beach
Municipal Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, the credit card services to be provided by Barnett Bank are
compatible with the new software program; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined, based on the
recommendations of staff, that it is in the best interests of the residents of the
City for the City to enter into a Processing Agreement with Barnett Bank to
provide credit card services to the Boynton Beach Municipal Golf Course.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a
Processing Agreement with Barnett Bank for full credit card services at the
Boynton Beach Municipal Golf Course, a copy of said agreement is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A."
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
