A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
AND ACCEPTING A SCOPE AND FEE PROPOSAL BY
GEE & JENSON, ENGINEERS, ARCHITECTS,
PLANNERS, INC., TO PERFORM ADMINISTRATIVE
AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A LIGHTNING
PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR OCEANFRONT PARK
; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
FACILITIES --. TE THE SC°PE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECU AN
AND FEE PROPOSAL; AND PROVIDING
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, all beach buildings were re-roofed this year with standing
seam metal roofs; and
WHEREAS, the City CommIssion of the City of Boynton, upon
recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interests of the residents and
citizens of the City of Boynton Beach to install a lightning/grounding system for the
eleven effected buildings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Each Whereas clause set forth above is true and correct and
incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
does hereby approve and accept the Scope and Fee Proposal, providing design,
plans and specifications to construct a lightning protection system for the beach
buildings, submitted by Gee & Jenson Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc., and
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said proposal, which is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 3.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
