R97-~,~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE WAGE PROPOSAL (ARTICLE 14 - RATE OF PAY) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996197 BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND POLICE LIEUTENANTS FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to ratify the Wage proposal (Article 14 - Rate of Pay) for fiscal year 1996/97 between the City of Boynton Beach and the Police Lieutenants Fraternal Order of Police. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby ratify the Wage proposal (Article 14 - Rate of Pay) for fiscal year 1996/97 between the City of Boynton Beach and the Police Lieutenants Fraternal Order of Police. Section 2. Authorizing and directing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage. The parties agree for contract year 10/1/96 through 9/30/97 that bargaining unit members are eligible for a one step increase (2%) on their anniversary date, subject to a satisfactory or better performance evaluation, plus a 1% retroactive increase in pay as of October 1, 1996 and an additional 1% retroactive increase in pay as of April 1, 1997, all subject to the same satisfactory or better performance evaluation.
