Minutes 07-11-01 (2) MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING HELD IN COMMISSION CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 AT 1:30 P.M. Present Gerald Broening, Mayor Ronald Weiland, Vice Mayor Mike Ferguson, Commissioner Charlie Fisher, Commissioner Mack McCray, Comn~issioner Kurt Bressner, City Manager James Cherof, City Attorney Janet Prainito, City Clerk CALL TO ORDER Mayor Broening called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. Attorney Cherof advised that the Commission would be recessing to go into Executive Session, after which time the Special Meeting would reconvene. Attorney Cherof advised that the purpose of the Executive Session was to discuss the judgment entered by Judge Middlebrooks against the City in the lawsuit brought by Florida Outdoor Advertising and Gulf Coast Advertising. The closed door session is required to commence in the public meeting, which was duly noticed. Attendees at the closed-door session would include the members of the City Commission, the City Manager, Attorney Cherof and Michael Burke, Special Counsel for the City. The session should last approximately 20 minutes. Motion Commissioner Ferguson moved to recess. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fisher and unanimously carried.
