A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
PALM BEACH COUNTY ("COUNTY") AND THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH ("CITY"), EXTENDING THE
COMPLETION DATE FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT
MANGROVE NATURE PARK; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the CITY and COUNTY entered into an Agreement on
September 5, 1995, providing for funding of up to $140,000 for improvements at
Mangrove Nature Park, to be completed on or before eighteen months from the
date of execution of the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the CITY has requested, and the COUNTY has approved,
an extension of twelve months from the above referenced project completion
date, in order to complete the proposed improvements; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. This Commission does hereby authorize and direct the
Mayor. and City Clerk to execute a First Amendment to Agreement between
Palm Beach County and the City of Boynton Beach, which Amendment is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2
upon passage.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately

FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
PALM BEACH COUNTY AND THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into this
MAR 4 1997 day of , 1997, by and between Palm Beach
County, ' a political subdivision of the' State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY ", and the/City of Boynton Beach,
a Florida municipal corporation, hereir'after referred to as
" BOYNTON BEACH ".
W I T N E S S E TH:
WHEREAS, on September 5, 1995, COUNTY entered into an
Agreement with BOYNTON BEACH (R- 95- 1196 -0) to provide funding of up
to $140,000 for improvements at Mangrove Nature Park to be
completed on or before eighteen months from the date of execution
of the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, BOYNTON BEACH has requested an extension of twelve
months from the above referenced project completion date in order
to complete the proposed improvements; and
WHEREAS, COUNTY desires to allow for additional project
completion time for completion of said improvements to Mangrove
Nature Park, which will benefit all ci_izens of Palm Beach County;
and
WHEREAS, both parties desire to amend the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Paragraph 4 of the Agreement shall be amended by deleting
"eighteen (18) months from the date of execution" and inserting
"thirty (30) months from the date of execution" in its place.
2, Except as provided herein, each and every other term of
the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect and the
Agreement is reaffirmed as modified herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties, by and through their duly
authorized agents, have hereunto set their hands and seals on the
