5 CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION, SECTIO 2-13.2(a)
6 PROVIDING FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL M BERS OF
7 THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT GENCY, TO
8 BE APPOINTED BY THE CITY C MISSION IN
9 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIO S OF CHAPTER
10 163.357(1)(c), FLORIDA STATUTES; ROVIDING FOR
11 CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CO FICATION AND AN
12 EFFECTIVE DATE.

14 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach h s determined that it is in the best interests of
15 the citizens and residents of the City to add two (2) additional civilian members to the
16 Community Redevelopment Agency, in accor ce with Chapter 163.357(1)(c); and
17
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 0 AINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
19 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, F ORIDA, THAT:

21 Section 1. That Chapter 2 Administration, Section 2-13.2 shall be amended by
22 adding the words and figures in unde ined type, as follows:

40 (c) Any person may be appointed as Board Member if he or she
41 resides or is engaged in business. which means owning a business,
42 practicing a profession, or performing a service for compensation, or
43 serving as an officer or director of a corporation or other business entity

1 so engaged, within the area of operation of the agency, which shall be
2 coterminous with the area of 0 eration of the Cit of Bo nton Beach.

9 Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinanc in conflict herewith be and the
10 same are hereby repealed.

12 Section 3. Should any section or provisio of this ordinance or portion hereof, any
13 paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court f competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such
14 decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordi ance.

16 Section 4. Authority is hereby gr ed to codify said ordinance.

18 Section 5. ecome effective immediately upon passage.
