A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
STAFF TO APPLY FOR A STATE DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION ROADWAY BEAUTIFICATION
GRANT, ( BOYNTON BEACH.BOULEVARD/FEDERAL
HIGHWAY R.O.W.'S STREETSCAPES, 1-95 EAST TO
U.S. 1/DOWNTOWN AREA); AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, upon
recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens of the
City of Boynton Beach to authorize and direct staff to apply for the State_
Department of Transportation Roadway Beautification Grant; and
WHEREAS, this grant request is to landscape/irrigate the streets R.O.W.'s
in the Boynton Beach Boulevard/Federal Highway R.O.W's Streetscapes 1-95 East
to U.S. 1/Downtown Area of the City, and requires a 50/50 match between the City
of Boynton Beach and the State Department of Transportation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby
authorizes and directs staff to apply for the Department of Transportation Roadway
Beautification Grant, for the Boynton Beach Boulevard/Federal Highway R.O.W's
Streetscapes 1-95 East to U.S. l/Downtown Area of the City.
Section 2.
