O00-17ORDINANCE NO. O 00-/~' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 2 ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE 1. IN GENERAL, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-15. PER DIEM AND TRAVEL EXPENSE SCHEDULE, PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN PER DIEM AND TRAVEL EXPENSES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach has deemed it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach to amend Chapter 2 Article 1, Section 2-15, Per diem and travel expense schedule; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Chapter 2, Article 1. Section 2-15 is hereby amended by adding the words and figures in underlined type and by deleting the words and figures in struck-through type, as follows: 2-15. Per diem and travel expense schedule. (a) Definitions. The following words... (d) Computation of travel time for reimbursement .... (2) A traveler shall not be reimbursed on a per diem basis ... b. Lunch, when travel begins before -1-2:00. 11:30 a.m. ~.oon and extends beyond 2:00 p.m. (e) Rates of per diem and subsistence allowance. For purposes of reimbursement rates, and methods of calculations,... (4) Meals only. All travelers may be allowed an amount for meals, while on official business, up to the following amounts: a. Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any ~ortion thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
