4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
5 BEACH, FLORIDA, RESCINDING THE AWARD OF
6 BID #027-2110-09/JA TO KEMP GROUP
7 INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION OF MIAMI,
8 FLORIDA FOR THE TWO YEAR CONTRACT FOR
9 SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD SERVICES FOR AN
10 ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE OF
11 $304,170.00; AUTHORIZING THE CURRENT
12 CONTRACT WITH STAFFING CONNECTIONS BE
13 EXTENDED UNTIL A NEW BID AND AWARD OF
14 BID FOR TWO-YEAR CONTRACT FOR SCHOOL
15 CROSSING GUARD SERVICES IS IN PLACE; AND
16 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

19 WHEREAS, On June 2, 2009, by Resolution 09-080, the City Commission
20 awarded a two year Contract to Kemp Group International for Bid #027-2110-09/JA for
21 School Grossing Guard Services; and
22 WHEREAS, subsequent to the bid award staff has received a request from Kemp
23 Group International to withdraw from the Contract as they are not able to perform the
24 Contract due to time constraints is recommending the award to Kemp Group International
25 Corporation, of Miami, Florida be rescinded; and
26 WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the Contract with the current company,
27 Staffing Connection be extended until a new bid and award is in place.
28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
29 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

Section I.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
31 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
32 adoption.

Section 2.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
2 hereby rescinds the award of Bid #027-2110-09/JA to Kemp Group International
3 Corporation for the two year contract for school crossing guard services.
4
Section 3.
The current Contract with Staffing Connections shall be extended
5 until a new bid and award of bid.
6 Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
