5 SECTION 2-28, "APPOINTMENT; REMOV
6 CHAPTER 2, "ADMINISTRATION", ARTI
7 "CITY MANAGER" " TO ELIMINA THE
8 REQUIREMENT OF A FOUR-FIFrHS OTE FOR
9 REMOVAL OF THE CITY MA GER; AND
10 PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, VERABILITY,
11 CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTI DATE.

13 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the C' of Boynton Beach fmds that it is in the
14 best interest of the public to remove the requir ent of a four-fifths vote for removal of the
15 City Manager.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE I ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
17 THE CITY OF BOYNTON B
18 Section 1. clause set forth above is true and correct and
19 incorporated herein by
20 Section 2. entitled "Administration", Section 2-28, is hereby
21
22 . 2-28. AppoitltDIent; removal.
J 23 The appointment and removal of the City Manager shall be by felif fifths
24 majority vote of the City Commission.

26 Section 3. Each and every other provision of Chapter 2, not herein specifically
amended shall remain in full force and effect as previously enacted.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
29 same are hereby repealed.
30 Section 5. Should any section or provision of this ordinance or portion hereof, any

1 paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to
2 such decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
3 Section 6. Authority is hereby granted to codify said ordi
