AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION,
SECTION 2-13.2(a) PROVIDING FOR TWO (2)
ADDITIONAL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, TO BE APPOINTED BY
THE CITY COMMISSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 163.357(1) (c),
FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION
AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has determined that
it is in the best interests of the citizens and residents of
the City to add two (2) additional civilian members to the
Community Redevelopment Agency, in accordance with Chapter
163.357(1) (c); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COM~ISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Chapter 2. Administration, Section
2-13.2 shall be amended by adding the words and figures in
underlined type, as follows:
Sec. 2-13.2. City Commission as governing
body of community redevelopment agency.*
(a) The City Commission is hereby appointed
and declared to be the board Qf commissioners
and the governing body of the community
redevelopment agency for the entire community
redevelopment area. Effective the~ day of
~7~-~z~ 2000, the ~over~ing body of th~
Community Redevelopment Agency shall b~
expanded to include two (2) additional
members, appointed by the City Co~,m~ssion iH
accordance with the provisions of Chapter
163.357(1) (c), Florida Statutes.
Section 2. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence or word
be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
