A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT FOUR
APPLICATIONS TO THE PALM BEACH COUNTY
DEVELOPMENT REGIONS GRANT PROGRAM; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Regions Grant Program provides
assistance toward redevelopment in the Development Regions with emphasis on
economic reinvestment and diversification, increasing job growth, encouraging
entrepreneurial opportunities, revitalizing commercial districts and focusing on positive
human resource development to improve the qualify of life; and
WHEREAS, the Development Regions Core and Competitive Grants are
opportunities for the City to bring additional dollars to the economic efforts of the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has projects that meet the eligibility
requirements of both the Core Grant and the Competitive Grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

authorize the City Manager to submit four applications to the Palm Beach County
Development Regions Grant Program (3 applications for Core Regions Grant and 1
application for Competitive Grant).
