3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
4 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA
5 AWARDING BID #072-2821-09/JA "REPAIRS AND
6 EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR WATER
7 DISTRIBUTION, WASTEWATER COLLECTION
8 AND STORM WATER UTILITY SYSTEMS" TO
9 MADSEN /BARR CORP OF LAKE WORTH,
10 i FLORIDA AND TO PALM BEACH GRADING OF
11 I LAKE PARK, FLORIDA FOR A TWO YEAR PERIOD
12 I WITH AN ESTIMATED ANNUAL EXPENDITURE
13 I OF $250,000.00; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
14 ' DATE.
~: II WHEREAS, on October 7, 2009, Procurement Services received seven (7) bids
17 I for the City's "Repairs and Emergency Services for Water Distribution, Wastewater

18 I Collection and Storm Water Utility Systems" Bid #072-2821-09/JA.; and

19 II WHEREAS, after review of the bid proposals the Utility Department is
I
20 I recommending awards to the second and third lowest bidders which are Palm Beach
II
I
21 Grading of Lake Park, Florida and MadsenlBarr Corp. of Lake Worth, Florida,
22 respectively, both of which met all of the bid specification requirements and are therefore
23 I determined to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidders; and
24
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission of the City of
25
Boynton Beach does hereby approve the award of the City's "Repairs and Emergency

30 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
31 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:

Section 1.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
adoption.
Section 2.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
hereby approves the award of Bid #072-282l-09/JA, "Repairs and Emergency Services for
Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Storm Water Utility Systems" to Palm
Beach Grading of Lake Park, Florida and Madsen/Barr Corp. of Lake Worth, Florida.
Section 3.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this lsth day of December, 2009.
