COUNCIL CHAMBERS, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1985 AT 7:30 P. M.
PRESENT
Carl zimmerman, Mayor
Robert Ferrell, Vice Mayor
Nick Cassandra, Councilman
Peter L. Cheney, City Manager
Betty S. Boroni, City Clerk
James W. Vance, city Attorney
ABSENT
James R. Warnke, Councilman (Excused)
Samuel L. Wright, Councilman (Excused)
Mayor zimmerman called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M.
and recognized the presence of Simon Ryder, Chairman of the
Planning and Zoning Board in the audience.
Receipt of Nominating Petitions
vice Mayor Ferrell made a motion to receive and file the
Nominating Petitions, seconded by Councilman Cassandra.
Motion carried 3-0.
Proclamation of General Election
City Attorney Vance read the Proclamation in its entirety
and advised it should be signed by the Mayor and City Clerk,
but no vote by the Council was necessary.
Interviewing Architects
City Manager Cheney had talked to the Council about inter-
viewing the Architects on either the 25th or 26th of
February. However, they discovered there would be two on
one night, and one the other night. City Manager Cheney
thought it would be best and felt the Council would prefer
to have all three of the Architects interviewed in one night
and suggested March 4, 1985. He hoped to let the Council
know tomorrow whether this would be agreeable with all three
of the Architects.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council,
Councilman Cassandra moved to adjourn, seconded by Vice
Mayor Ferrell. Motion carried 3-0. The meeting adjourned
at 7:06 P. M.
