FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION 5.2, SUBSECTION
825.3 (SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES), OF THE
CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH,-FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS
CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISION, AN EFFECTIVE
DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section ~1. Section 5.2, Subsection 825.3 (Schedule of
Permit Fees) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, be amended to read as follows:
MECHANICAL FEE SCHEDULE
(a) Minimum. The minimum fee for any permit issued
shall be ~13.LQO.
(b) In addition:
(1) Fees shall be double for any work commenced
without a permit.
(2) Re-inspection fees shall be $15~-00.
(c) Residential:
(1) Central heating and air conditioning systems
shall be$3.00 per 100 square foot of air-condi-
tioned space or portion thereof.
(2) Additions to existing residences or units shall be
$3.25per 100 square foot or portion thereof.
(d)-" Commercial:
(1) For each ion rating or fraction thereof, of a
cooling, heating ~yste,m, $ 7.00.
(2) For each compressor horse power or fraction
thereof of a refrigeration system, $7.00.
(3) Heat strips, for each 1000 watts or fraction
thereof, $4.00-
(4) For each water tower, evaporator, water chiller,
heat exchanger, incinerator, chimney, stack, flu,
fireplace, storage tank, boiler up to 35,000 BTU's
or similar appliance and/or appurtenances, $7
(§) Solar equipment, as per plumbing code.
(6) Gas equipment, as per gas code.
(7) For replacement of each condensor, compressor,
vent, or similar appliance or appurtenance, ,$4.00
(8) Piping-up to 2 inches shall be feed at $1.30per
100 feet.
(9) Boilers of 35,000 to 100,000 BTU's sl~all be $13.0D
Boilers of t00,000 to 300,000 BTU's shall be
$2~ 00
Boilers over 300,000 BTU's shall be S'33.'00

(10) For each and every condensate dry well, $/4.04)
(ll) For each condensate connection to a storm sewer, $4.00
(19_) Duct work: For each and every drop, return,
condensate drain, pan & drain, plenum, air or
exhaust vent, smoke or fire damper, $33'00~ _
Section 2. Authority to Codify: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this ordinance in the
City's existing Code.
Section 3. Separability: Each of the provisions of this
ordinance is separable, including wo~d, clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in
full force and effect.
Section 4. Repealinq Provision: All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. An Effective Date: This ordinance shall
=~ effective in the manner and at the time provided by law.
