3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
4 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
5 THE CURRENT ADOPTED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
6 YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2009, AND ENDING
7 SEPTEMBER 30, 2010; PROVIDING FOR
8 SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND AN EFFECTIVE
9 DATE.

11 WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted a budget submitted by the City Manager
12 based on estimated revenues of the City of Boynton Beach for fiscal year 2009-2010; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Manager has now reduced estimated revenues for fiscal year
14 2009-2010, and
15 WHEREAS, the City Manager has made recommendations to amend the budget by
16 reducing the amounts necessary to be appropriated for fiscal year 2009-2010.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
18 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
19 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
20 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
21 hereof.
22 Section 2. The City Commission of the Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby amends
23 the currently adopted budget, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and the
24 appropriations set out therein for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2009 and ending
25 September 30, 2010, to maintain and carryon the government of the City of Boynton
26 Beach, Florida.
27 Section 3. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $1,328,417 to an
28 amended appropriated sum of $70,516,917 to the General Fund for the payment of
29 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays for the City Government pursuant to

1 the terms of the above budget.
2 Section 4. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $29,000 to an
3 amended appropriated sum of $117,627 to the Public Arts Fund for the payment of
4 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
5 Section 5. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $12,000 to an
6 amended appropriated sum of $364,097 to the Cemetery Fund for the payment of operating
7 expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
8 Section 6. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $569,577 to an
9 amended appropriated sum of $32,464,676 to the Water and Sewer Utility Fund for
10 operating expenditures, necessary capital outlay and debt service due on the Water and
11 Sewer Revenue Bonds.
12 Section 7. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $84,021 to an
13 amended appropriated sum of $2,492,236 to the Golf Course Revenue Fund for operating
14 expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
15 Section 8. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $343,272 to an
16 amended appropriated sum of $9,666,292 to the Solid Waste Fund for the payment of
17 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
18 Section 9. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $39,746 to an
19 amended appropriated sum of $238,809 to the Transportation Fund for the payment of
20 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
21 Section 10. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $285,281 to an
22 amended appropriated sum of$5,942,128 to the Fleet Maintenance Fund for the payment of
23 operating expenditures and necessary capital outlays.
24 Section 11. There is hereby a reduction of the appropriation by $45,000 to an
25 amended appropriated sum of $2,926,159 to the Self-Insurance Fund for the payment of
26 operating expenditures.
27 Section 12. If any clause, section or other part of this Resolution shall be held by
28 any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional
29 or invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and shall in no way affect the validity of the
30 remaining portions of this Resolution.

1 Section 13. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
2 repealed to the extent of such conflict.
3 Section 14. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
