5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
6 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE AWARD OF
7 RFP #044-2821-10/CJD TO SANTEE MODULAR
8 HOMES, INC., FOR THE HARVESTING OF
9 PRIV A TE AND PUBLIC CANAL SYSTEMS AT
10 SPECIFIC LOCATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE
11 CONTRACTOR AND UTILITIES PERSONNEL TO
12 GAIN ACCESS TO PRIVATE CANALS BASED UPON
13 THE RECEIPT OF ACCESS LICENSES FROM THE
14 MAJORITY OF RESIDENTS; AND PROVIDING AN
15 EFFECTIVE DATE.

18 WHEREAS, on May 11,2010, Procurement Services opened and tabulated three
19 (3) proposals to the RFP "Harvesting of Private & Public Canal Systems at Specific
20 Locations"; and
21 WHEREAS, after review and evaluation by the Utilities Department staff it has
22 been determined to recommend award of this RFP to Santee Modular Homes, Inc., of
23 Santee, South Carolina whose RFP was the lowest, most responsive and responsible
24 proposer who met all specifications; and
25 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission of the City of
26 Boynton Beach does hereby approve the award of RFP #044-2821-10/CJD to Santee
27 Modular Homes, Inc., of Santee, South Carolina.
28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
2 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
3 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon
3 adoption hereof.

1 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
2 hereby approves the award of RFP #044-2821-1 O/CJD to Santee Modular Homes, Inc., of
3 Santee, South Carolina for Harvesting of Private & Public Canal Systems at Specific
4 Locations.
5 Section 3. That the Contractor and City staff are authorized to proceed and
6 gain access to private canals based upon receipt of access licenses from the majority of
7 residents.
8 Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
9 PASSED AND ADOPTED this Isf day ofJune, 2010.
