A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A PROJECT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT
BETWEEN THE FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION
DISTRICT (F.I.N.D.) AND THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DOWNTOWN
MANGROVE'PARK.
WHEREAS, due to unforeseen obstacles, the construction of Mangrove
Park projected schedule has been delayed; and
WHEREAS, staff had applied for an extension of the funding agreement with
F.I.N.D., to September 30, 1996, which was subsequently granted by the District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEAQH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a
Project Agreement Amendment, extending the project deadline for construction of
Mangrove Park to September 30, 1996, a copy of said Agreement being attached
hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This Resolution will become effective immediately upon
passage.

PROJECT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT
In consideration of the continuing mutual promises and covenants contained in
that certain PROJECT AGREEMENT No. PB...BB-94-36 between the FLORIDA
INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT (FJ.N.D.) and the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH hereafter knownas the PROJECT SPONSOR. The parties hereby agree that
Paragraph. 20f that certain' PROJECT AGREEMENT. be deleted and the following
be substituted therefore:
2. The PROJECT SPONSOR shall complete the PROJECT on or
before September 1, 1996. This deadline may be extended with due
reason and prior approval of the F.I.N.D. The PROJECT SPONSOR
acknowledges there are no expressed provisions to carry over
F.I.N.D. GRANT FUNDS provided under this project Agreement
Amendment beyond September 30, 1996.
