BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING APPENDIX A -
ZONING, SECTION 4. GENERAL PROVISIONS,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, TO ADD A NEW
SUBSECTION M. SATELLITE DISH ANTENNAE;
PROVIDING FOR THE REQUIREMENT OF A PERMIT
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, REMOVAL OR
MODIFICATION OF A SATELLITE DISH
ANTENNAE; PROVIDING STANDARDS FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF THE SATELLITE DISH
ANTENNAE TO SERVE SINGLE FAMILY OR DUPLEX
HOMES; PROVIDING SETBACK REQUIREMENTS AND
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING A
CONFLICTS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
AND TO CODIFY; PROVIDING AN
EFFE( AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Appendix A - Zoning, Section 4. General
Provisions. It is hereby amended to add a new subsection M
as follows:
(M) SATELLITE DISH ANTENNAE. No satellite dish
antennae shall be installed, removed or substan-
tially modified without first obtaining a permit
from the Building Official for structural and
electrical purposes. All applicants for such a
permit shall be required to submit sealed engi-
neering drawings for structural design in a form
acceptable to the Building Official.
Ail satellite dish antennae installed to serve
single family or duplex homes shall be ground
mounted. No satellite dish antennae shall be
installed forward of the front of any building and
shall not encroach into side or rear yards. All
satellite dish antennae shall be screened on three
(3) sides with hedges or walls of at least six (6')
feet in height.
Section 2: Each and every other provision of
Appendix A - Zoning, Section 4. General Provisions. shall
remain in full force and effect as previously enacted.
Section 3: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or a portion thereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall
not affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 4: Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: Specific authority is hereby granted
to codify this Ordinance.
