O83-18AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 16 - PARKS AND
RECREATION, ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL,
SECTION 16-1. BOARD CREATED; APPOINT-
MENT; TERMS, QUALIFICATIONS. TO PROVIDE
THAT ALL MEMBERS OF THE RECREATION AND
PARKS BOARD SHALL BE RESIDENTS AND
ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE,
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AUTHORITY TO
CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Chapter 16 - Parks and Rebreation, Article
I. In General, Section 16-1. Board created; appointment, terms,
qualifications, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
There is hereby established a Recreations
and Parks Board, hereinafter referred
to as "Board", which Board shall consist
of seven (7) members. The City Council
shall appoint the members of said Board,
which shall serve for terms of one year
from the date of appointment. Members
of the Board shall be residents and
electors of the City.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: That should any section or provisions of
this Ordinance or any provision thereof be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 4:
Ordinance.
Authority is hereby given to codify this

immediately upon its passage.
