THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA
AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, SECTION 2-30.
POWERS AND DUTIES GENERALLY. BY
CREATING A NEW SUBSECTION "J",
EMPOWERING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADD OR
MODIFY POSITIONS DURING EACH FISCAL YEAR
WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF THE TOTAL
APPROPRIATIONS ADOPTED BY
COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION

WHEREAS, the City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City
and is responsible to the Commission for the administration of all city affairs; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that in order for the
City administration to function at the most efficient level, the City Manager shall
be granted the authority to add and/or modify positions during the course of the
fiscal year, under conditions as specified herein.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Chapter 2, Section 2-30 of Article II, Definitions, is hereby
amended by creating a new subsection "j", as follows:

Section2. Each and every 'other provision of Section 2. not
hereinbefore specifically amended shall remain in full force and effect as

Section 3._ All laws and ordinances applying to the City of Boynton
Beach in conflict with any provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any
thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 5, Authority is hereby given to codify this Ordinance.
Section 6 This Ordinance shall become effective immediately.
