A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
STAFF TO APPLY FOR PHASE II: PALM BEACH
COUNTY ROADWAY BEAUTIFICATION GRANT,
CONGRESS AVENUE MEDIANS (4) (SUMMIT DRIVE
NORTH TO SW 30TH AVENUE); AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff,
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens of the
City of Boynton Beach, to direct staff to apply for Phase II:
Palm Beach County Roadway Beautification Grant, Congress Avenue
Medians (4) (Summit Drive North to SW 30th Avenue); and
WHEREAS, this grant is a continuation of the one median
south of Summit Boulevard on Congress Avenue, and requires a
50/50 match between the City of Boynton Beach and Palm Beach
County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY coMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, hereby authorizes and directs staff to make
application for Phase II: Palm Beach County Roadway
Beautification Grant, also directing that appropriate funds be
allocated for this second phase of the project.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
