R95-070 RESOLUTION NO. R95-?~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH PAY PLAN FOR 1994/95; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida previously approved and adopted the pay matrix for the 1994-95 fiscal year for municipal employees by Resolution R94-159, which Resolution incorporated the pay plan for that period; and WHEREAS, the City Commission upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to be in the best interests of the employees of the City to amend the pay plan to incorporate a change in the policy regarding Vacation Time for Emergencies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby amends the pay plan attached to Resolution No. R94-159, by adding the words and figures in underlined type and by deleting the words and figures in struck-through type, as follows: PAY PLAN --1994/1995 VACATION TIME FOR EMERGENCIES: Employees faced with a sudden unforeseen emergency that have in excess of 40 hours of vacation pay are eligible for this program. Such employees may convert to cash up to 80 hours over the 40 hour minimum reserve ~o cash. A request must be made in writing outlining the emergency and submitted to the P~-s~:mnef- Human Resources Director. A committee comprised of the City Manager, Finance Director and Pm'sm'n'~[~ Human Resources Director will then review the request and approve the hours requested in total or ,¥~oGi;iecl modif.v it as they see fit. Conversions must be done in increments 'of one working day. This benefit can only be used once every fhte- two years, although, at the discretion of the City Manager. the time limit rule may be waived if there are exigent circumstances. Section 2.
